Types of visa


There are 185 different types of visas available with two main categories

1: Nonimmigrant visa – for temporary visits such as for tourism, business, work or study.
2: Immigrant visa – for people to immigrate to the United State​​.

H1B visa – on H1B visa you can work for your employer and can have only one income on W2, If you have any other income it should fall under passive income. You can get the loan on H1, can buy house in US, you can invest on stock but can not do intraday trading (you can do Intraday trading between 9-4 and this is your time to work for your employer so it illegal for H1). MLM business is illegal on H1 or H4.

H4 Visa –  Certain H4 visa holder whose spouse on H1B and have approved I140 , can apply for EAD from May 2015.Other H4 visa holder have restriction, They can not have active income but can earn money as passive income, don’t forget to report tax on your income
Active Income – any activity perform to earn money will fall under active income
Passive Income– No activity will be involved while earning money, Like rent your house. stock trading. Please note intraday trading is not allowed for H1 visa holder as this is your office time

L1 Visa – Intracompany Transferee. Introduction. The L-1 visa facilitates the temporary transfer of foreign worker in the managerial, executive or specialized knowledge category to the U.S. to continue employment with an office of the same employer, its parent, branch, subsidiary or affiliate

J-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa issued by the United States to research scholars, professors and exchange visitors participating in programs that promote cultural exchange, especially to obtain medical or business training within U.S.

F1 visa is issued to international students who are attending an academic program or English Language Program at a US college or university. F-1 students must maintain the minimum course load for full-time student status.

B1 visa – You may be eligible for a B-1 visa if you will be participating in business activities of a commercial or professional nature in the United States, including, but limited. Check link for limitation on B1
