1Jersey City:
Jersey city is suitable place  if you are coming to New jersey for first time.
“Little India” is close to NY, Path train takes only 10 min to reach downtown and 20 min for midtown (approx). You will have luxury of Indian grocery and food. Nice transportation, no need to own car.
cons: You need to invest good amount of time to search good apartment, Make sure apartment have air ventilation. If you own a car then parking is pain in jersey city. you have to buy parking or rely
on street parking. Public schools don’t not have good ranking, If you are planning for good school
you could end up spending $500-$1000 for private school.
If you are planning for short term stay in jersey city,then newport can be a good option but little bit expensive.
The place where you can live is journal Square (India Square) groove street/pavonia/exchange place. At Newark avenue on journal square there are many Indian restaurants/shops specially around JFK blvd.

You can also try Newport mall complex for accommodation.For shop you can go to Newport mall[directions]

Visit njtransit for the train and bus schedule.
For Single person,if you are looking for roommate or if you want to enjoy indian festival you can search on sulekha or eventbrite

2.Edison:It’s nice area with nice apartments, You can rent or buy house here. You will see only Indian
community here, OAK tree road(INDIAN SQUARE) is the largest Indian business hub in America also known as INDIAN Market . Edison/Iselin have good school district.
cons: You need to have own car for transportation.
If you are planning to live in iselin,new jersey then there are few indian community where Indians live

Secaucus, bayonne (close to Jersey city). Rahway,New Brunswick,cherry hill (close to Edison)​, piscataway and parsippany are the other locations with large number of Indians.
